The last sign explored in this series was the first water sign, Cancer. Here the characteristics of the second water sign, Scorpio, will be explored in more detail to help writers understand their motivations, their aspirations and their good and bad points. Characters born under the sign of Scorpio will have their birthday somewhere between 23rd October and the 21st November

Scorpio – Overview

Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac and is represented by the scorpion.The character represented by the zodiacal sign of Scorpio can be passionate, secretive, sensual and determined. Characters born under this sign want to learn the meaning of giving their love freely. They can be hard to get to know and tend to hide their true nature. However, they are very emotional and instinctive at heart and often hurt themselves rather than others. They are very intellectual, often outstanding in their preferred subjects but are also very passionate when they are in love.

Scorpio – Physical and Behavioural Attributes

Scorpions generally are noticeable by their hypnotic eyes. They have an intensity about them that intrigues others. Their stare penetrates through to the soul. They often have a broad face and shoulders and are generally slender in build.

The male Scorpion character will have strong facial features, thick eyebrows and considerable body hair on his chest, legs and arms. He will have an athletic, well-proportioned body but may have a tendency for bowlegs. He is quite a possessive character and will move mountains to protect those who are important to him. The male Scorpio can be either a saint or a sinner and is a law unto himself.

The female character born under the sign of Scorpio will have a well-proportioned body, but generally will have short legs. She is attractive even when she frowns and will tend to incline her head towards the floor even when looking at someone. The Scorpion woman will come across as quite cool and only smiles when she means it. She wants total freedom but at the same time is quite dominant. She is very loyal to her family and sets her own high standards in the home. She is insulted by flirtatious or flattering behaviour.

These characters will rarely be ill, and when they are, it’s often of a serious nature. They find it hard to relax even to take a short break.

Scorpio –Likes and Dislikes

All the star signs have some lucky elements assigned to their profile. Scorpion characters will prefer the vivid colours of deep red and blue-green. The gemstones turquoise, snakestone and ruby represent their sign and the metals iron and steel. Their favourite animals are the wolf and grey lizard.

The Scorpio character will not like being analysed or asked too many personal questions. They are less likely to trust a stranger than someone they know well and are naturally suspicious of others. They can be quick tempered, obstinate and moody. Their possessive, jealous nature can also cause problems in relationships if not handled properly.

These characters love winning and are intrigued by mysteries and secrets. It’s hard to keep anything from a Scorpion if they really want to find out they will. They can be quite self-critical and acknowledge their faults very openly. They are capable of intense concentration and are tenacious. Others find them very magnetic and are drawn to them without thinking.
